The Coach Behind The Work

I played D1 soccer at Nebraska-Omaha and Drake University, then competed with the Des Moines Menace in USL League Two. I've coached at every level since — and won back-to-back national championships doing it.

But the résumé is just context. The real work is about development — not just of players, but of people. Every session, every conversation, every resource I put out is built around one idea.

"My goal is to always leave someone or something better than I found it."

Whether you're a parent trying to understand the college recruiting process, a coach looking to sharpen your sessions, or a player trying to find that next gear — this is the place for you.

On Losing:
What It's Actually For

Every coach talks about losing being part of the process. Very few of them explain what that actually means when you're standing in a cold parking lot after a game your team should have won.

The Recruiting Process,
Demystified.

Most families go into college recruiting flying blind. The timelines are unclear, the communication rules are confusing, and the coaches on the other end are evaluating things parents don't even know matter.

I've been on both sides of this. I know what college coaches actually look for — and I know how to help your player put their best foot forward at every stage of the process.

01
Player evaluation & goal setting
Honest assessment of where your player is, where they can realistically go, and what it takes to get there.
02
Profile & highlight development
Building the right presentation — video, academic profile, outreach strategy — for the right schools.
03
School list & outreach
Identifying programs that are the right fit athletically, academically, and personally — not just the biggest name available.
04
Decision support
When offers come in, I help families ask the right questions and make the decision that's actually right for their player.
